Florida Public Service Commission Considers Items of Interest at Upcoming Agenda Conference


TALLAHASSEE — The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at the January 29, 2008 Agenda Conference:

ITEM 8: DOCKET NO. 070678-TL – Petition by Embarq Florida, under Section 364.025 (6)(d), Florida Statutes, for waiver of carrier of last resort obligations in Lakes/Sawgrass Bay subdivisions in Lake County, by Embarq Florida, Inc. The PSC will consider a staff recommendation addressing Embarq’s petition of relief from carrier of last resort obligations in the subdivisions.

ITEM 11: DOCKET NO. 070677-EQ – Petition for approval of negotiated renewable energy contract with Manatee Green Power, LLC, by Florida Power & Light Company. The PSC will consider a staff recommendation addressing approval of a contract for Florida Power & Light to purchase power generated by landfill gas.
