Quality customer service requires service-minded people. To highlight Customer Service Day on January 17, the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) recognizes its employees who offer quality customer service every day when helping residents resolve utility issues.
“Consumers are our business at the PSC, and we respond to all calls and correspondence quickly and courteously,” said PSC Chairman Matthew M. Carter II. “We offer residents easy access to Commission representatives and have many ways for them to contact us to get their questions answered.”
During Customer Service Day—and every day—residents may reach the PSC’s Consumer Assistance Bureau at 1-800-342-3552, by e-mail at email@example.com, or through the PSC’s Web site at www.floridapsc.com.
The PSC has many brochures, including, “When to Call the Florida Public Service Commission,” which explains the PSC’s responsibilities. This guide also gives information about non-regulated utilities, such as cellular telephone service and cable/satellite television. The Commission regularly distributes information to various agencies and groups, including more than 280 Florida libraries, to help consumers navigate their phone bills, learn more about energy and water conservation, and find information on the PSC’s Web site.
To continue serving Florida’s low-income residents, the PSC has partnered with state agencies, local governments, and social service agencies to promote Link-Up Florida and Lifeline Assistance, two programs that help make telephone service affordable. For program assistance, Florida residents may call the PSC at 1-800-342-3552, the Office of Public Counsel at 1-800-540-7039, or their local phone company.

The PSC is committed to making sure that Florida's consumers receive their electric, natural gas, telephone, water, and wastewater services in a safe, affordable, and reliable manner.
