Florida Public Service Commission Considers Items of Interest at Upcoming Agenda Conference


TALLAHASSEE — The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at the Tuesday, June 16, 2009 Agenda Conference:

ITEM 3: Docket No. 090082-TLPetition by BellSouth Telecommunications, Inc. d/b/a AT&T Florida d/b/a AT&T Southeast for waiver of Rule 25-4.040(2), Florida Administrative Code.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation concerning the distribution of residential white pages to customers.

ITEM 6: Docket No. 090145-EIPetition for expedited approval of the deferral of pension expenses, authorization to charge storm hardening expenses to the storm damage reserve, and variance from or waiver of Rule 25-6.0143(1)(c), (d), and (f), F.A.C., by Progress Energy Florida, Inc.  The Commission will address staff recommendations on two requests by Progress Energy Florida, Inc.  The first request asks that the company be allowed to pay storm hardening expenses out of its storm damage reserve rather than its normal operating expenses.  The second request asks to defer recovery of some pension expenses.
