Customer Meeting Set for ARMA Water Service

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will conduct a customer meeting on Thursday, July 15, for customers of ARMA Water Service, LLC (ARMA).  The utility has filed an application with the PSC for a certificate to provide water service in Marion County and for authority to begin billing its customers Commission-authorized rates, fees, and charges.  ARMA has been providing water service to customers at no charge.

As part of the evaluation process for ARMA’s request, Commission staff will conduct a customer meeting to allow customer feedback about ARMA and the rate setting process.  Customer comments, written and oral, will be taken into consideration when the Commission reaches a decision.  The meeting is set for the following time and location:

Thursday, July 15, 2010
6:00 p.m.
Marion Oaks Community Center
294 Marion Oaks Lane
Ocala, Florida

The PSC is committed to making sure that Florida's consumers receive their electric, natural gas, telephone, water, and wastewater services in a safe, affordable, and reliable manner. The PSC exercises regulatory authority over utilities in the areas of rate base/economic regulation; competitive market oversight; and monitoring of safety, reliability, and service.
