Florida PSC Considers Items of Interest at Upcoming Commission Conference


TALLAHASSEE — The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at the Tuesday, October 12 Commission Conference:

ITEM 4: Docket No. 090505-EIReview of replacement fuel costs associated with the February 26, 2008 outage on Florida Power & Light Company's (FPL) electrical system. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing FPL’s motion for reconsideration.

ITEM 4A: Docket No. 100155-EG

In re: Petition for approval of demand-side management plan of Florida Power & Light Company. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing a plan requiring FPL to implement cost-effective energy efficiency programs as required by the Florida Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (FEECA).

ITEM 6:Docket No. 100124-TXPetition for Designation as Eligible Telecommunications Carrier (ETC) by Sun-Tel USA, Inc.  The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing Sun-Tel’s request for landline ETC designation status.

Docket No. 100262-EI – Review of 2010 Electric Infrastructure Storm Hardening Plan filed pursuant to Rule 25-6.0342, F.A.C., submitted by Progress Energy Florida, Inc.
Docket No. 100263-EI– Review of 2010 Electric Infrastructure Storm Hardening Plan filed pursuant to Rule 25-6.0342, F.A.C., submitted by Tampa Electric Company.
Docket No. 100264-EI– Review of 2010 Electric Infrastructure Storm Hardening Plan filed pursuant to Rule 25-6.0342, F.A.C., submitted by Florida Public Utilities Company.
Docket No. 100265-EI– Review of 2010 Electric Infrastructure Storm Hardening Plan filed pursuant to Rule 25-6.0342, F.A.C., submitted by Gulf Power Company.
Docket No. 100266-EI– Review of 2010 Electric Infrastructure Storm Hardening Plan filed pursuant to Rule 25-6.0342, F.A.C., submitted by Florida Power & Light Company.

The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing plan updates submitted by the investor-owned utilities as required by Rule 25-6.0342.

ITEM 9: Docket No.100009-EI – Nuclear cost recovery clause. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing the remaining legal and factual issues.

ITEM 14:
Docket No. 080677-EI Petition for increase in rates by Florida Power & Light Company.
Docket No. 090130-EI
– 2009 depreciation and dismantlement study by Florida Power & Light Company.

The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing Mr. Saporito’s petition and a proposed settlement agreement to resolve outstanding matters in both dockets.

ITEM 15: Docket No. 100410-EI – Review of Florida Power & Light Company's earnings. The Commission will consider a staff recommendation addressing actions the Commission should take regarding FPL’s potential overearnings.
