TALLAHASSEE —
The staff of the Florida Public Service
Commission (PSC) will conduct a customer meeting on Monday, April 26, 2004 to
accept comments from consumers about a proposed rate increase submitted by
Mid-County Services, Inc. (Mid-County or utility). In addition, this meeting
will provide the utility’s customers with an opportunity to comment about
service quality issues relevant to Mid-County.
Mid-County provides wastewater service to
approximately 1,925 customers in the city of Dunedin.
Based upon Mid-County’s requested final rates, a
bi-monthy residential bill for 10,000 gallons could increase from $41.53 to
$58.19 for wastewater.
All customers of Mid-County are invited to attend the
meeting, which will be held at the following time and location:

PSC staff
is currently scheduled to file its rate recommendation to the Commission on June 24, 2004, and
the Commission's consideration and vote on this matter is currently scheduled
for July 6, 2004.
