TALLAHASSEE —
Florida Public Service Commissioner Eduardo Balbis, as prehearing officer, filed a revised procedural order last Friday granting a four-month extension in the Duke Energy Florida (DEF) Crystal River 3 case to address parties’ concerns.
“I find that a rescheduling of the hearing and controlling dates is necessary to facilitate the Commission having a complete and thorough record for its review and to give staff and the parties additional time in their preparation for hearing,” Commissioner Balbis stated in the order. Parties to the CR3 docket include the Office of Public Counsel, White Springs Agriculture Chemicals, Inc., Florida Industrial Power Users Group, Florida Retail Federation, and PEF.
