PSC Teams Up with the City of Tallahassee For Energy Action Month and Public Power Week

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) and the City of Tallahassee have teamed up with SAIL High School students to teach children how to conserve energy in an original play, Turn It On; Turn It Off, being performed at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., Sunday, October 13, at the Hopkins Power Plant Open House, celebrating October’s Energy Action Month and Public Power Week.

“Conserving energy is one of the most important lessons we can all learn, and we appreciate the City’s partnership in our outreach to students,” said PSC Chairman Ronald A. Brisé.  “By teaching Florida’s young people about the importance of energy conservation today, we are encouraging them to choose and use energy wisely in the future.”

Performances will be:

2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Arvah B. Hopkins Power Plant
3 miles west of Capital Circle SW on Geddie Road (between highways 20 and 90)
