PSC Chairman to Participate in Habitat Build

TALLAHASSEE — October’s Energy Action Month may be ending, but the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will begin November by demonstrating the Month’s year-round energy efficiency message at a Big Bend Habitat for Humanity (BBHH) build on Friday.

Each year, the PSC participates in the U.S Department of Energy-sponsored Energy Action Month to promote energy-saving practices that reduce consumers’ energy  consumption and save them money, while also showing how wise energy use benefits Florida’s energy future.
The PSC is partnering with BBHH to help build energy-efficient, affordable homes for low-income consumers in the community.  The PSC supports BBHH’s mission to “revitalize local economies, generate jobs and give Florida’s most vulnerable citizens a lasting hand up, multiplying the positive impact on Florida’s economy and jobs.”

The BBHH build is scheduled for the following time and location:

Friday, November 1, 2013
 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
1328 Victoria Street
(near Pineview Elementary School,
in the Callen neighborhood)

Tallahassee, Florida
PSC Chairman Ronald A. Brisé will be on-site
