Florida’s Public Service Commission (PSC) is alerting consumers about scams targeting utility customers during National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW), March 2–8. PSC staff will make presentations to consumers about the scams and how to avoid them on Wednesday, March 5 in North Florida. Consumers will also receive tips on energy and water conservation and information about the Lifeline Assistance telephone discount program.
PSC Chairman Art Graham produced a PSA about the scams, including consumer protections, for the PSC’s website that is also accessible to media outlets for their broadcasts.
