TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission’s (PSC) February Helping Hand is the Museum of Florida History, whose recent children’s program helped the PSC to distribute its information targeted to youth that also benefits their parents and relatives.
“We’re grateful to Mikaela Pearson for including the PSC in its Children’s Day at the Museum of Florida History, where we shared information about the importance of energy and water conservation,” said PSC Chairman Julie Brown. “We were pleased for this partnership opportunity to better connect with area youth and their parents, who may also qualify for the Lifeline Assistance telephone discount program.” Each month, the PSC highlights a partner agency or organization whose clients are eligible for the federal Lifeline program and/or need help reducing energy and water bills. Through these PSC Helping Hand partnerships, the Commission shares vital information to help consumers stretch their resources to meet their monthly bills. “We appreciate the PSC’s participation at our Children’s Day Event, when we host various organizations catering to children and their families,” said Pearson, Museum Education Program Representative. “Building support networks with organizations like the PSC helps our families, and I’m sure that many benefitted from PSC information on conservation, discounted phone service, and utility bill payment assistance.
