Continuing to highlight partners who help the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) raise public awareness about the Lifeline Assistance program and energy and water conservation, this month the Commission recognizes the Marianna Housing Authority as a PSC Helping Hand.
“The Marianna Housing Authority and its Executive Director, Bonnie Horne, are wonderful partners by helping us teach low-income and senior panhandle-area residents about programs and strategies to lower their utility bills,” said PSC Chairman Art Graham. “I want to thank the Authority for consistently hosting community meetings where residents can learn and benefit from the PSC’s outreach messages.”
Begun last year, each month the PSC highlights a partner agency or organization whose clients are eligible for the federal Lifeline Assistance telephone discount program and/or needs help curbing energy and water bills. Through these PSC Helping Hands partnerships, the Commission shares vital information to help consumers stretch their pocketbooks and meet their monthly bills.
“We are pleased to be named a PSC Helping Hand,” said Ms. Horne. “Our residents receive helpful information from the PSC that they can use every day to impact their budgets and make a difference in their overall quality of life.”
