TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) invites customers of Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) to hearings in Melbourne and Daytona Beach on the utility’s petition for a rate increase. Customers can comment on FPL’s proposed rates and any quality of service issues at the hearing. The service hearings are scheduled for the following times and locations:
June 16, 2016 9:30 a.m. Brevard County Governmental Center Commission Room, Building C, 1st Floor 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way Melbourne, FL 32940 June 16, 2016 6:00 p.m. Museum of Arts and Sciences 352 S. Nova Road Daytona Beach, FL 32114 FPL filed its petition with the PSC on March 15, 2016. FPL provides electric service to more than 4.8 million retail customers in all or parts of 35 Florida counties. PSC staff is scheduled to file a recommendation with the Commission on November 17, 2016. Commissioners are expected to vote on this matter at the November 29, 2016 Commission Conference.
