TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold an emergency meeting at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018 to discuss a request from Florida Public Utilities Company (FPUC) to offer an Electric Restoration Payment Program. Because of Hurricane Michael’s extensive damage to the utility’s Northwest service territory in Jackson, Calhoun, and Liberty Counties, FPUC is requesting approval to provide a payment program to cover the upfront costs to repair customers’ electrical facilities in order to restore power.
This emergency meeting, scheduled for the following time and location, precedes the PSC’s cost recovery clause hearings that begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 1:00 p.m. Betty Easley Conference Center Joseph P.
