Current Commissioner Julie Brown and incoming Commissioner Jimmy Patronis will take their oaths of office Thursday following their appointments to the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) by Governor Rick Scott in September 2014.
The oath of office ceremony for Commissioner Brown will begin at 9:00 a.m. and be administered by Judge Laurel Moore Lee, of the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Hillsborough County. Commissioner Brown was reappointed for a term beginning January 2, 2015, and ending January 1, 2019. The ceremony for Patronis will follow Commissioner Brown’s. His oath of office will be administered by Judge Nicholas Russell Thompson, of the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Lee County. Patronis was appointed for a term beginning January 2, 2015, and ending January 1, 2019.
