Items of Interest at Upcoming Florida PSC Commission Conference

TALLAHASSEE — The following items are among those scheduled for consideration by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) at its Thursday, January 8, Commission Conference:

ITEM 2-3: Docket Nos. 140222- 140223-TC Initiation of show cause proceedings against Tri-County Telephone, Inc. and Florida Public Telephone Company for apparent violation of Section 364.335(2), F.S., Application for Certificate of Authority; Section 364.3375(2), F.S., Pay Telephone Service Providers; Rule 25-4.0051, F.A.C., Current Certificate Holder Information; and Rule 25-22.032(6)(b), F.A.C.,Customer Complaints. The Commission will address a staff recommendation on payphone complaints filed against two companies for violation of Florida Statues concerning inactive payphone service.

ITEM 4: Docket No. 140005-WS Annual price index reestablishment for major operating cost categories incurred by water and wastewater utilities pursuant to Section 367.081(4)(a), F.S. The Commission will address a staff recommendation on adopting the 2015 price index to be used by water and wastewater utilities petitioning for rate adjustments.   

Preceding the Commission Conference, current Commissioner Julie Brown and incoming Commissioner Jimmy Patronis will be sworn into office at 9:00 a.m.
