Town ‘N Country Senior Center Named PSC Helping Hand

TALLAHASSEE — Florida’s Public Service Commission (PSC) is recognizing Town ‘N Country Senior Center as a PSC Helping Hand for helping raise public awareness about the Lifeline Assistance telephone discount program, energy and water conservation, and utility impersonation scams.

“We appreciate Town ‘N Country’s participation, especially during National Consumer Protection Week in March, by assisting us in sharing information to educate and protect their clients,” said PSC Chairman Art Graham. “Rhonda Flowers, General Manager of Town ‘N Country, helps distribute our Lifeline, scam protection, and conservation materials to those seniors who can most benefit from the information.”

Each month, the PSC highlights a partner agency or organization whose clients are eligible for the federal Lifeline program or need help reducing energy and water bills and recognizing energy-related scams. Through PSC Helping Hand partnerships, the Commission shares vital information to protect consumers and help stretch their resources to meet their monthly bills.

“We are pleased to be recognized as a PSC Helping Hand,” said Flowers. “Town ‘N Country is dedicated to offering a broad range of educational, social, health, and recreational activities each day that help our clients improve their quality of life. We appreciate partnering with the PSC to help our clients protect themselves from scammers and understand how they can save money on utility services.”
