TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will convene a hearing Tuesday, August 18, to consider petitions for cost recovery related to nuclear construction projects filed by Duke Energy Florida, Inc. (DEF) and Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). The hearing could continue through Thursday, August 20, if needed.
During the hearing, the Commission will examine evidence regarding the cost of siting and licensing new nuclear facilities and constructing enhancements to current facilities in order to determine costs eligible for recovery during 2016. The PSC evaluates these costs annually. The hearing is set for the following times and location: Tuesday, August 18 through Thursday, August 20, 2015 Tuesday, 1:30 p.m.; Wednesday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m. Betty Easley Conference Center Joseph P.
