ElderCare of Alachua County’s Micanopy Center Named PSC Helping Hand

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Public Service Commission’s November Helping Hand is ElderCare of Alachua County in Micanopy.

“We salute Felecia Glover, Micanopy site manager, for her willingness to invite us to participate in her city’s community meetings, where we share information to help seniors save money on their utility bills and sign up for Lifeline Assistance discounted telephone service,” said PSC Chairman Art Graham.  “We’re better able to reach those who need our assistance through fantastic community leaders like Ms. Glover.”

Each month, the PSC highlights a partner agency or organization whose clients are eligible for the federal Lifeline program and/or need help reducing energy and water bills. Through these PSC Helping Hand partnerships, the Commission shares vital information to help consumers stretch their resources to meet their monthly bills.

“It’s an honor to be named a PSC Helping Hand,” said Ms. Glover.  “We sincerely appreciate the PSC’s concern for our clients and for delivering materials that help our seniors save money in their daily lives.”
