TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission will host a delegation from the
South American nation of Paraguay for two days of discussions focusing on
oversight of electric utilities June 26 and 27 at the request of the United
States Department of the Treasury.
Topics will include electric service reliability, establishing rates,
determining need for additional generation, auditing, and management reviews.
“We welcome the opportunity to meet with the members of the Paraguayan
delegation to share insights and experiences,” Commission Chairman Lisa Polak
Edgar said. “The issues involving electric utilities are global in nature and
these meetings highlight the need for information sharing.”
The Paraguayan delegation, which will be accompanied by a representative
of the treasury department, is scheduled to be in Tallahassee
