Renewable Portfolio Standard Workshop Set for Thursday |

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Public Service Commission’s staff will hold a workshop on Thursday, August 23, 2007, to discuss issues relevant to the development and implementation of a Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) for Florida. Topics for discussion will include, but not be limited to: 1) goals and objectives of an RPS, 2) applicability of an RPS, 3) resources eligible for inclusion, 4) structure of an RPS, and 4) the role of renewable energy credits. The workshop is set for the following time and location: Thursday, August 23, 2007 The PSC is committed to making sure that Florida's consumers receive their electric, natural gas, telephone, water, and wastewater services in a safe, affordable, and reliable manner. The PSC exercises regulatory authority over utilities in the areas of rate base/economic regulation; competitive market oversight; and monitoring of safety, reliability, and service. |
