Customer Service Hearing Set for FPUC Rate Request in Fernandina Beach

FPUC is requesting a rate change to recover increasing operating costs, including insurance, pensions, maintenance and replacement, and regulatory compliance at the state and federal levels.

Under FPUC’s proposal, a residential customer using 1,000 kwh will pay $103.20. The total monthly electric bill for residential customers using 1,000 kwh is currently $91.56, based on interim rates.

The hearing allows customers to comment on the proposed rate increases and any quality-of-service issues relevant to the utility.  Customers are invited to attend the hearing at the following time and location:
