PSC Chairman and Clearwater Mayor to Teach Children How to Conserve Energy for Earth Day |

TALLAHASSEE — Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) Chairman Matthew M. Carter II and City of Clearwater Mayor Frank V. Hibbard will share energy-saving tips and ways students can help their parents save money on utility bills in an Earth Day celebration at Plumb Elementary School. The PSC’s play, Turn It On; Turn It Off, will be performed by St. Petersburg’s Southside Fundamental Middle School in conjunction with St. Petersburg’s American Stage Theatre Company. Media are invited to attend the performance at the following time and location: Thursday, April 17, 2008 Attending media should check in at the school’s office for a visitor’s badge and directions to the performance. The PSC is committed to making sure that Florida's consumers receive their electric, natural gas, telephone, water, and wastewater services in a safe, affordable, and reliable manner. The PSC exercises regulatory authority over utilities in the areas of rate base/economic regulation; competitive market oversight; and monitors safety, reliability, and service. |
