TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will continue an evidentiary hearing on Florida Power & Light Company’s (FPL) request for a rate increase on Saturday, September 5, 2009 and on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, if necessary. The hearing allows FPL and the intervenors to present sworn testimony and exhibits in support of their positions. The hearing was originally scheduled for nine days and began on August 24, 2009. Due to the extensive testimony and cross-examinations process, the hearing is taking more time than scheduled.
