TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will conduct a service hearing on Thursday, September 1, for customers of Aqua Utilities Florida, Inc. (AUF). This is one of 10 service hearings being held in AUF’s service territory.
On March 13, the PSC issued a proposed agency action order granting AUF $2.6 million of the utility’s requested $4.1 million rate increase, which included a finding that the utility’s quality of service was marginal. The Commission’s order was protested by intervenors in the case. As a result, the PSC will now be holding customer service hearings to allow customers to comment on AUF’s quality of service and its requested rates. Because AUF’s Chuluota system was not included as part of its current rate increase request, quality of service is the only issue relevant to the system in this case. The Commission is interested in comments from customers of AUF’s Chuluota system concerning the utility’s quality of service. Customers are invited to attend the meeting at the following date, time, and location: Thursday, September 1, 2011 10:00 a.m. Canterbury Retreat and Conference Center 1601 Alafaya Trail Oviedo, Florida For additional information, visit www.floridapsc.com.
