PSC to Help Unemployed "Get Connected and Get a Job" at Lifeline Awareness Week Kickoff in Tallahassee

PSC Commissioner Lisa Polak Edgar, WORKFORCE plus CEO Kimberly Moore, Public Counsel J.R. Kelly, and Representative Alan Williams will offer information about the Link-Up Florida and Lifeline Assistance telephone discount programs to help Florida’s unemployed get a phone and connect with job opportunities, as well as businesses and community services. Telephone company representatives will be available to sign up eligible residents.

Joining public utility commissions across the nation, the Florida PSC continues to spread the word and increase participation in the discount programs making telephone service affordable for the state’s low-income consumers.
