TALLAHASSEE —
Annual fuel adjustment charges approved by the Florida Public Service

January 2006 billing cycle. The Commission allows utilities to recover
fuel-related costs that are prudently incurred. The following monthly amounts
are based on 1,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of use have been verified by PSC staff:
Residential customers of Florida
Power & Light Company will pay $108.61 for 1,000 kWh of electricity. This
reflects an increase of $16.99 when compared with the current amount of $91.62.
A residential customer of Progress
Energy Florida will pay $109.56 for 1,000 kWh of electricity,
which is $11.78 more than the current level of $97.78.
Residential customers of Tampa
Electric Company will pay $109.60 for 1,000 kWh of electricity. This
reflects a increase of $11.53 when compared with the current amount of $98.07.
A residential
customer of Gulf Power Company will pay $92.48 for 1,000 kWh of
electricity, which is $4.57 more than the current level of $87.91.

for Florida Public Utilities Company (FPUC) are not available at this time
and will be verified Thursday.
