TALLAHASSEE —
Established by the 2012 Florida Legislature, the Study Committee on Investor-Owned Water & Wastewater Utility Systems (Committee) will hold its first meeting from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6 in Tallahassee.
Open to the public, the Committee meeting will address issues affecting investor-owned water and wastewater utilities and include presentations on current Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) regulatory authority, the role of the Office of Public Counsel, the applicability of Florida’s Sunshine Law, and other administrative matters. Chaired by PSC Commissioner Julie I. Brown, other Committee members include 17 representatives from the Florida Legislature, state agencies, state and local governments, investor-owned water utilities, and their customers. Public comment will be taken if time allows. The Committee meeting date, time, and location follow.
