The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) staff will conduct a workshop on Thursday, September 20, to gather information concerning technical issues about the design, installation, and use of smart meters in the state, as well as the jurisdiction of state and federal agencies.
During the workshop, subject matter experts will provide technical presentations on smart meters. Following formal presentations, there will be a technical roundtable discussion with subject matter experts on the concerns surrounding radio frequency emissions, privacy, and data security of smart meters. Public comment will be taken prior to the conclusion of the workshop.
