TALLAHASSEE —
The Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold a non-evidentiary hearing Thursday, September 27 and Friday, September 28 to consider the Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) proposed Settlement Agreement (Agreement). This hearing is a continuance of the August technical hearing for FPL’s request for a base rate increase. FPL, the Florida Industrial Power Users Group, South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association, and the Federal Executive Agencies signed the Agreement.
On March 19, FPL filed a petition with the PSC for a base rate increase. FPL provides electric service to more than 4.5 million retail customers in all or parts of 35 Florida counties.
